BONUS DOWNS CARERS DAY 

.Thanks to Julie Kennedy MHEP, Trish Maude of Carers Qld was able to access funding for an excursion to Bonus Downs Homestead, 46kms south of Mitchell

The issue of transport was overcome thanks to Jo Radford from the Maranoa Day Respite Centre joining in with us and supplying a HACC bus.  Jo invited some day respite participants and organized a bus driver from the Maranoa Regional Council.

14 Carers, Care recipients & Respite participants thoroughly enjoyed the generosity of the owners of Bonus Downs.  We heard the histroy of the magnificent property, ate a very sumptuous morning tea and then toured the large homestead.

Reports from all who attended plus the looks on their faces gave a fair indication that the trip had been well worth it.  Thank You MHEP!
